This unit is located on the side of the heater box, under the cowell covering on 9000’s.  This motor controls one of the doors in the heater box that controls if you get fresh or recirculated air.  If this unit is bad, you may have problems with defrost functionality as well as problems with the air conditioning on a very hot day depending on where the door is stuck.
