trVW ECU Up for saleis a Working, in excellent condition Passat / Golf / 16 valve ECU. VW/Audi partnumber 8A0 907 404 CC (8A0907404CC), Bosch part # 0 261 200 858 (0261200858) . This ECU came out of a 1992 16v 2.0l Passat, and should also fit other similar models/years. However, as always your best bet is to match thepart numbers with the part you need. A faulty ECU is one of the most common no start or random stalling problems with these cars. These can also cause issues with erroneous checkengine lights as well as emission control & cold or hot startproblems. An erroneous check engine light is especially problematic,as the car will not pass the emissions portion of the test at theannual state inspection.If your car does not have these issuesbut you intend to keep it a while, I recommend our customers keep anextra ECU in the trunk. These units now have to be special ordered frommost dealers new for big $$ (often times over $1000!), and you cannever find one when you need one. Even now finding a good one secondhand is getting to be quite difficult as these cars get older. Most VW ECU’s are located under the cowell. This is the plastic piece that your windshield wipers sprout out of. They are easy to access, all youneed is a 10MM wrench.
