Up for sale is a good used Volkswagen / Audi Boost pressure control valve. This is the unit that receives signal from the ECU & controls the boost level. This connects between the return line, the wastegate actuator, and the compressor housing of the turbo. A defective unit usually will cause a base boost condition (the car won’t boost past 5 PSI and will be very slow to accelerate), or constant overshoot which will cause unusually high boost which will trigger fuel cut (this will feel as though someone momentarily kicked your foot off the gas), and then it will cut back on. If, severe this will happen repeatedly any time you try to accelerate under boost – this also may not even get this far, and simply cause the car to go into limp home mode, where you will have limited boost. These are very expensive to buy new for a genuine part (over $200), so this is an excellent value.
